Green Whizzard - Medal Winning Product

Garden Depot Sdn. Bhd. (GDSB) is a company incorporated in April 2003 with a vision to establish itself a leading manufacturer of agricultural related products. The company core competence is in product invention using available technology in the market.

Extensive market researches are conducted before formulating the final package is to be introduced in the market – thus providing potential users with new features and cost saving whenever possible.

In 2005, GDSD initiated a product development which focused on the increasing crop productivity for the agricultural sector. The company collaborated with University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Shah Alam to undertake on Research and Development (R & D) project to formulate a new generation of fertilizer. The R & D resulted in the formulation of a new fertilizer named “Green Whizzard” capable of improving growth rate and crop yield as well as cost savings to users.

Green Whizzard will be positioned in selected market segment - primarily the household gardeners, nurseries, orchard owners as well as the small farmers. With its unique packaging, ease of handling and application, GDSB is targeting an annual sales volume of 3 millions packs of GREEN WHIZZARD within three (3) years.

ROBEST YONG - was born in Georgetown, Penang and had his early education at the Methodist School in Nibong Tebal, Province Wellesley. He began his working life with an engineering company where he was frequently send abroad to study the latest technologies and machineries.

Robest Yong went on to create many new inventions thereafter which won his more awards including:
